On March 6th our church hosted the BMA of Missouri annual Brotherhood and WMA meeting. There were approximately fifty in attendance. We heard a great devotional given by Sis. Ladonna Baker, a wonderful message by Bro. Claude Evens and a challenging talk from Sis. Diane Spriggs, Editor of the Baptist Trumpet. Bro. Matt Hudson, National Brotherhood President spoke on behalf of our National WMA President, Lisa Hudson and promoted the National WMA Project as well as the Brotherhood Project. Connie Reifsteck did a great job presiding over the ladies meeting. Four of our ladies are officers this year. Norma Womble continues to serve as Secretary, Tracy Goede was elected to serve as Historian, Janet Widger is currently serving on the Retreat Committee and Connie Reifsteck was appointed to serve on the Project Promotion Committee. We want to especially thank our kitchen committee, Wilma Finley and Wanda Flowers for their steadfast labor of love in the kitchen overseeing that everyone had plenty to eat and drink, then the cleanup afterwards. The 2011 meeting will be hosted by Emmanuel, Sikeston, MO with Bro. Billy Davis bringing the annual sermon. The 2011 project is 10% Youth Fund, 20% General Fund, 30% Smithville Mission Work and 40% Missouri Missionary Baptist Paper.
