WALK FOR THE WORLD

 

The 2009 Walk marks 30 years that folks have been lacing up their shoes and participating in the Walk of Faith, now known as the Lifeword 5k Walk for the World. During those thirty years many people have trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

 

Last year 43,286 people responded to a Lifeword broadcast. 35% of those responses were from unsaved people.

 

Experts say that walking is a good medicine that reduces many physical health risks and gives a healthier life which includes benefits for the heart, mind and spirit. As important as those benefits are, Lifeword's primary focus is on the ultimate benefit of the Walk - the spiritual heart.

 

The money raised by your participation in the Walk for the World will help us maintain and add additional broadcasts.

 

Lifeword plans to launch broadcasts in seven additional languages in 2009. A successful Walk will help ensure that happens.

 

This annual event normally takes place in October.
